Release Notes

PieChart4WP7 for WP7 Developers

This is to introduce a Silverlight class library that provides developers with methods and properties to draw a pie chart. Developers can produce up to 7 slices of a pie chart for Windows Phone 7 with only 4-5 lines of code. Well, that's not including the description of the pie chart:-).

The best practices of how the description part can be implemented is demonstrated in the full testing application source code (.cs and .xaml) included.

Development Platform: Windows 7, Windows Phone 7 Emulator
Target Platform: Windows Phone 7 for a Silverlight Project
Programming Lang.: in C#
IDE: Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate

For more detailed description of the project PieChart4WP7, please see "ReadMe" text file. The detailed implementation steps can be also found in the testing source code file.

Updates:

06/20/2011 - The total value = 0 (where each individual value = 0) is now allowed without an error message. It will give the return value, NaN, for each ratio and no chart. Why change??? ---> one less to take care of in your application.

04/25/2011 - Added a few more codes to eliminate the discrepancy in the returned number of color/gradient brushes while allowing all the same functionalities available. Biggest advantages??? ---> less prone to any errors in your application.
